A Celtic Yule at the Crannog

Friday 30th November to Sunday 2nd December

We are delighted to open our doors for a very special FREE Celtic Yule celebration. Kindly sponsored by Aberfeldy & District Rotary Club.

From 10 am until 3.30 pm each day.

Join us for this very special celebration to start the festive season.  We have three days of Christmas loveliness lined up with the following being held throughout each day:

Friday 30th November:

We are absolutely thrilled that pupils and children from Grandtully Primary School, Kenmore Primary School, Royal School of Dunkeld and Kenmore & Aberfeldy Playgroup will be here at various times to sing festive songs in the Crannog! 

Saturday 1st December:

A full programme of music featuring various artists and musicians throughout the day brought together by Mark Allen.

Christmas tree decoration-making and wood-working activities for children and adults with Julie Durzack

Yule Solstice Workshop with Roisin Lyle-Collins.

Paper Tree Decoration-making and demonstrations with nettles by Birte Ford.

Both Saturday & Sunday feature:

A winter craft fair featuring unusual and interesting Christmas gifts: Jim Hargreaves - Wooden Crafts; Susan Cameron - Pet Portraits & Christmas crafts; Tash - hand-made wooden board games; Terri McGaskill - jams & preserves; Rachel Backshall - Yule wreath-making; Suzanne Sporleder - herbal cordials and teas plus our own Crannog gift shop.

Plus; Green Man handing out chocolate to children; mulled wine and minced-pies; decorations of holly and ivy; exhibition; demonstrations of Iron Age technologies; hot chocolate and hot cordials.
